This is my final dps.
This is my first draft for my dps. WWW: I like the shape that gives a background for the text. I also like the 'Feature' and the masthead and page number at the bottom of the page. EBI: I could improve this by changing around the fonts Adding more text making the stanfirst smaller and moving the grab quote.

Rock star Rebel Does Guitarist from relentless really seem like the good guy we all know and love? The band has been together for over 6 years however became well known after 3 years! These guys haven’t given up after all these years; they kept trying and soon got their dream. Relentless has had their new album ‘lived it’ released in early October reached ‘LOUD’ magazine’s number 5 spot. Band guitarist, Tobias Casells wasn’t always the little angel as we all suspected. We caught up with him before they were hours away from their 3rd world tour. So Mr Tobias Casells, how are things in relentless now since the last time we met? “It’s all good. We’re all stoked to be on our 3rd world tour, seems like forever since we got to connect with our fans, they mean a lot to us. If it wasn’t for them our band would probably still be living in our van with our instruments and living off Jack’s (lead vocalist) McDonald’s job doing nothing with our lives” How have you and your band tried to promote yourselves to get yourself where you are now? “Well we literally just went out in the middle of London and just started playing until we got to a point where the police told us to get off the streets as he said we were making too much noise, it started a huge argument and out of fury and rage ‘I punched the policeman until he was unconscious and got sent to jail for assault.’ When I got out I realized what a stupid 19 year old I was. However once I got back we went out to London again and one day we soon got our brake as Oli (Skyes) was just walking past us he told us we were a sick band and that we should go out on tour with them, we couldn’t believe what was happening ” You’ve been to jail? That doesn’t seem like you at all?! “yep, I changed once a came out. I realized I was stupid and was just picking a fight with a policeman. I was 19 I had to grow up. After I came out I

Kerrang! Magazine case study

Kerrang! is a UK-based magazine for to rock music fans published by Bauer Media Group. It was first published on 6 June 1981. Kerrang! was initially devoted to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and the rise of hard rock acts. Kerrang is named after an onomatopoeic word that is created from the sound made when playing a power chord on an electric guitar. In the early 2000s it became the best-selling British music newspaper.
Angus Young of AC/DC appeared on the first cover of Kerrang! It was initially launched as a monthly magazine then steadily began to appear on a fortnight and in 1987 it went weekly.
The first Kerrang! magazine was edited by Geoff Barton. Kerrang!'s popularity rose again with the hiring of editor Paul Rees circa 2000 when the nu metal genre, featuring bands like Limp Bizkit and Slipknot were becoming more popular.Rees went on to edit Q magazine and Ashley Bird took over as editor from 2003 to 2005. However the magazine's sales went quickly into decline in 2003 and Paul Brannigan took over as editor in May 2005. In 2009 Nichola Browne was appointed editor. She later stepped down in April 2011. Former NME features editor and GamesMaster deputy editor James McMahon was appointed as editor on 6 June 2011.

Key Artist Case Study

My key artist case study is going to be a band called Bring Me The Horizon.
Bring Me The Horizon are a heavy metal/metal core rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire. The band formed in the year 2004 from members of other bands within Sheffield. Their debut album "Count Your Blessings" was released October 30th 2006.  They are currently signed to RCA Records around the world and Epitaph Records exclusively in the US. Visible Noise Records, but were first signed to the record label Thirty Days of Night Records. They were also the first band to be signed to that label. They have toured in the past with bands such as Lostprophets (headline), The Blackout; Killswitch Engage (headline) and The Haunted. They did a headlining tour of the UK during March and April with the now defunct metalcore band I Killed The Prom Queen.
The band consists of lead vocalist Oli Sykes, lead guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish.

Planning Idea's for music magazine

The genre of my magazine will be rock.

The target audience would be for rock fans mainly teenagers who have an interest in listening to rock music, playing instruments and enjoy going to concerts. The main age aimed at the magazine would be from 14-21 year olds as it would be more modern rock bands featured on it.

The Name of my Magazine is going to be called 'LOUD' because rock fans love having their music turned up to the highest volume.

The masthead would be big and bold with a punk kind of look to it. it would have black lace being ripped as it could convey punk/rock.

The focal imagine for my front cover will be someone looking directly into the camera and a mid shot which with preview the band t shirt the person would be wearing showing that they are also into this type of music. The person would also look like he is in a band so the audience would be more likely to read about this.
I will use a mid shot because it will show the persons t-shirt and show they're into that kind of music.
it will have an interior location preferably a white background because it will be clear of what the main focus is on. The clothing will be a band t-shirt or a tank top because it will give it a punk/scene look. Black eye liner may be the only make up being used because it is the part of looking punk.

The sell lines on my magazine will be 'New Tattoos from Ben Bruce' because the audience might be interested in looking at tattoos. 'Hayley say's HELLO.' Most of the audience will know who Hayley Williams is as she is a well known singer for the band Paramore.

i would need band members interviews, new tattoos and piercings, music reviews, concert dates and competitions.

The double page spread will be an interview about one of the sell lines.

School magazine Planning

                                                    School magazine Planning

My front cover story is about how listening to music can help you to study more rather than without music. I will visualize this by having a person of someone listening to music and has stacks of books to the side of the person to make it look like they are doing work..
The target audience will be from, ages of 16-18 and for both genders. They would also have to have an interest in the school area around them.
The shop will be a mid shot up from the head down to the waist as they would be sitting on the chair in front of a table and  it would be a mid angle shot .
The mise en scene will have to be in the library because it connotes intelligence and it is also good to get help. The clothing will also be smart because is will show they care about their appearance. There will be books on a table where the person is working so it looks like they have loads of work to do  and that the person is actually doing work.
The headline would be ‘who says music cant help?’ it will match the imagine because the person would be listening to music with headphones and doing their work.
The colour scheme would be bright and matching  because it will attract the students eye to want to buy it .
